About Rollok
Rollok manufactures custom rolling security doors and shutters for commercial, retail and institutional buildings — rolling security doors, counter shutters, storm and hurricane protection, retail and kiosk shutters, cabinet tambour doors, and sun protection screens.
A rolling shutter solves a problem that a swinging or sliding door cannot: securing a wide opening that has to be completely clear during business hours and completely closed outside them, without surrendering any floor or wall space to a stored leaf.
Because the curtain stores in a coil above the opening, the decision that matters is headroom, and it matters at design stage. Coil space, guide depth and the structural support for both are far easier to allow for on a drawing than to find in a finished ceiling.
