What a manufacturer rep actually does
Constructive Solutions, LLC is a manufacturer representative serving the Great Lakes region and beyond. For over three decades we have been the trusted link between the industry's best product manufacturers and the architects, contractors and building owners who specify and install them.
We specialize in CSI Divisions 7, 8 and 10 — everything from architectural sunshades and automatic door systems to sealants and waterproofing. The common thread is that all three divisions are places where the specification decision and the installed result can diverge badly, and where someone who knows the products at first hand saves a great deal of time.
That is the job. Not selling a catalog — helping solve building envelope and access problems with the products that actually fit them, and staying involved through submittal and installation so the thing that gets built is the thing that was drawn.

How We Work With You
Architects & Specifiers
Lunch and learns, specification assistance, product comparisons and sample coordination. The useful conversation happens while the detail can still change — we would rather look at a drawing at design development than price something that cannot be built as drawn.
Contractors & Installers
Submittal support, pricing, lead times and installation guidance. Most schedule damage in these divisions comes from a submittal that bounces, and most bounces are avoidable by getting the assembly right the first time.
Building Owners
Product recommendations, lifecycle value analysis and ongoing support. The cheapest sealant and the cheapest operator are rarely the least expensive once you count the second installation.

We keep the line card deliberately narrow. Representing 6 lines rather than fifty is what makes it possible to know each of them well enough to be useful on a detail.
