Record manufactures automatic door operators and systems across the full range of commercial openings — low-energy ADA operators, full-power automatic entrances, sliding and slide-folding doors, ICU doors for healthcare, and security speedgates.
Automatic entrances carry more code than almost anything else in a door schedule. Low-energy operators and full-power operators fall under different standards with different requirements for activation, guarding and opening force, and the two are not substitutes for one another. Choosing the wrong class is a correction that surfaces at inspection, not at submittal.
Traffic volume, door mass, and whether the opening is on an accessible route all drive the selection. Those are answerable questions early in design and awkward ones once the frame is ordered.
