About Ranco Architectural
Ranco Architectural supplies the glazing and hardware that complete a commercial opening: fire-rated ceramic glass, continuous hinges, door closers, fire-rated glazing tape, lite kits and mirror supplies.
The thing to understand about a fire-rated opening is that the rating belongs to the assembly, not to any one part of it. The glass, the glazing tape, the lite kit, the frame and the hardware are listed together, and substituting any single component for an unlisted equivalent voids the label on the whole assembly — however similar the substitute looks.
That is why the useful time to involve us is while the door schedule is being written. Specifying a listed assembly up front costs nothing; discovering at inspection that one component broke the listing costs a replacement door.
What's in the line
Product categories
Fire-Rated Ceramic Glass
Holds its integrity at temperatures that break ordinary glazing, for openings that need both a rating and a view.
Continuous Hinges
Spread load along the full door height, extending life on high-traffic and heavy openings where butt hinges wear.
Standard & Heavy Duty Door Closers
Control closing speed and latching force — and on an accessible route, the opening force the door may require.
Fire-Rated Glazing Tape
Part of the listed assembly, not a generic glazing accessory; substituting it breaks the label.
Mirror Supplies
Mounting and edging hardware for mirrored openings and interior glazing.
Lite Kits
Frame a vision panel into a door while keeping the opening within its listing.
